1. Pay $275 enrollment deposit and $200 damage deposit and mail to the Shorter College Office of Admissions
2. Fill out housing questionnaire and mail to:

   Rome, GA 30165

While there is no specific deadline to request housing, it is a good idea to get the questionnaire and deposit mailed back as soon as possible. An assignment is not made until both the form and deposit have been received.

Priority is given to those students who pay a deposit prior to April for the fall semester. The first batch of assignments will be made by the end of May.

Those attending the first Summit session will receive an assignment letter with their Summit packet. All others (that were received before the end of May) will be mailed at the end of May.

Keep in mind that all returning students receive priority housing. With rising enrollment in past years, there has been an increased demand for residence hall rooms and space is limited; therefore, get your information in early.

Welcome Week and Move-In

Welcome Week for new students will begin with check-in on Saturday, August 16 th between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Returning students may check in on Tuesday, August 19 th between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  (Since classes start on Wednesday, there will not be staff on duty for check-in during the day.) 

You will need to follow the signs on campus and check in with the Residence Life Staff before going to your room.

Welcome week is your week! It's a time to learn more about Shorter, its amenities, and all the other new students who have decided to make Shorter their home for the next four years. Since this is such an amazing week, we require that you attend all events.
