President’s Gala December 4, 2025
The Shorter University President’s Gala is a premier event that brings together alumni, faculty, staff, students, and community members for an unforgettable evening in support of student scholarships. This year, we are thrilled to announce that MLB legend John Smoltz will be our keynote speaker. A first-ballot MLB Hall of Famer and eight-time All-Star, Smoltz is widely known for his incredible career with the Atlanta Braves, including a 1995 World Series championship and his unique achievement of recording both 200 wins and 150 saves. Smoltz now serves as FOX Sports’ lead MLB game analyst, calling major regular season and postseason games.
This exciting event raises vital funds to provide students with the opportunity to experience a Christ-centered education at Shorter University. All proceeds directly benefit the Shorter University Student Scholarship Fund, helping ensure that financial barriers do not limit the potential of our students.
