President

Presides at Leadership Team Meetings. Serves as a support and resource person to other council members, giving assistance and guidance as needed. Serves as the BCM representative to SGA and other campus organizations. Represents Shorter at state BCM functions and meetings. Meets weekly with the Campus Minister for planning and evaluation.

Fellowship Coordinator

Responsible for calling churches and planning food and fellowship for REFUGE meetings. Plans special fellowship activities outside of regular REFUGE meetings.

Meets weekly with the Leadership Team.

Secretary

Takes minutes at all Executive Council meetings and emails them to all Council members. Writes thank-you notes to speakers, guests, and churches providing assistance to the BSU (such as meals, donations, etc.). Collects all new Leadership Team members information and distributes it to the rest of the team. Meets weekly with the Leadership Team.

Community Missions Coordinator

Develops a plan for involving maximum number of students in ministry to the community, in places of greatest need and greatest potential impact. Missions possibilities include working with Backyard Bible Club, tutoring, senior citizens, the Baptist Mission Center, Habitat for Humanity, and others. Meets weekly with the Leadership Team.

Missions Coordinator

Promotes and encourages personal involvement in missions locally, nationally, and internationally, particularly with BCM Summer Missions. Works with Campus Minister and Executive Council to establish fund raising goals. Presents the annual Summer Missions monetary goal to the BCM for adoption. Plans and Coordinates all Summer Missions fund raising activities. Meets weekly with the Leadership Team.

In-reach Missions Coordinator

Encourages and organizes ministries to all students on Shorter campus. Coordinates ministries to commuters, Greeks, & athletes. Meets weekly with the Leadership Team.

Publicity Coordinator

Coordinates all publicizing and advertising of BCM events through use of bulletin boards, posters, flyers, newspapers, radio, banners, etc. on campus and in the community. This includes, but is not limited to: Hawkeyes, Periscope, SC 49, and WSOS. Stays aware of calendars to avoid conflicts in scheduling events. Prepares The Journey, the BCM newsletter, for REFUGE meetings. Meets weekly with the Leadership Team.

Discipleship Coordinator

Recruits and trains leaders for small groups, including bible studies, discipleship, and prayer groups. Coordinates process for enlisting new students into appropriate groups. Responsible for planning discipleship retreat. Enlists a committee as needed to help with these events.

Worship Coordinator

Works closely with Campus Minister and Leadership Team to plan worship for Thursday night REFUGE services as well as other special programs and events. Responsible for room setup and clean up, sound system setup and breakdown as well as planning music, integrating BCM Fine Arts Groups into REFUGE services, and securing speakers.

Impact Coordinator

Recruits and leads members of the Impact (drama) team. Coordinates scheduling with churches and other locations, seeks out new material, and directs the drama ministry of the team. Enlists other leaders and/or assistants as needed. Reports weekly to Leadership Team regarding the ministries of the team.

Proclamation Coordinator

Enlists a panel to hear auditions and make selections for the ensemble and serves on that panel. Plans and leads ensemble rehearsals, coordinates bookings, and works with members to select music. Reports weekly to the Leadership Team regarding the ministries of the team.

All in Praise Coordinator

Recruits and leads practices for members of the Shorter BCM dance team. Responsible for scheduling with churches and other locations, and designing dances. Reports weekly to Leadership Team regarding the ministries of the team.

Signs to Heaven Coordinator

Recruits and trains members of the Shorter BCM sign language team. Plans songs and practices with the group. Responsible for coordinating bookings with churches and other locations. Reports weekly to Leadership Team regarding the ministries of the team.

Prayer Ministry Coordinator

Involves students in praying for our campus, community, and our world. This person can plan “prayer events” on campus and in worship on Thursday evenings. Reports weekly to Leadership Team.

International Student Ministry Coordinator

Find creative ways to reach out to international students on our campus. Promote and attend State International Events (Rafting, Skiing, & others). Involve international students in the overall BCM ministry. Reports weekly to Leadership Team.
