Shorter’s BCM works to serve those in need in the Greater Rome community. For example, we’ve served food with Second Avenue Baptist’s Soup Kitchen and sorted clothes for the Floyd County Baptist Association.

Throughout this year, students have led Sunday afternoon worship services at three nearby retirement communities and nursing homes.

We’re always looking for additional ministry opportunities near Rome, so contact Audrey Speight, Shorter’s Community Ministry Coordinator to suggest a project.

More than a dozen BCM students volunteered to clear debris on property along Floyd County's Wax Road after a tornado struck the area on Saturday, March 15. The Shorter team aided in clean-up efforts on March 18, March 20 and March 21.
