August 17-19, 2008
Not to be confused with Summit, Camp Hawk is the next step in a smooth transition to Shorter College. Camp Hawk is a great opportunity for new students to experience an off-campus retreat before school starts. Make new friends, create fun memories, and enter into your first year of college with pride! Also meet staff, faculty, and student leaders who will help you feel confident as you start your life as a Shorter student.
Camp Hawk is the best way to connect with your classmates and college life at Shorter. Since Camp Hawk is serving as a component of your FYS (First Year at Shorter) Course, all freshmen are required to attend. Your attendance and participation at Camp Hawk will serve as a percentage of your FYS grade.
A Camp Hawk packet containing detailed information will be mailed to all incoming freshman in late July.
For more questions or more information regarding Camp Hawk, please contact Whitney Mosley at 706-233-7315.
