Shorter University is pleased to announce the full implementation of TaskStream’s Learning Achievement Tool (LAT) to all students beginning in the Fall 2009 Semester. Education students have been utilizing the LAT since 2006-2007 to build their portfolios.

The Learning Achievement Tool (LAT) is a comprehensive web-based electronic portfolio system designed to organize student’s scholarly work, documents, papers, artifacts, publications and awards. Students will archive work throughout their university programs and have the opportunity to assemble an “interview” portfolio before graduation. The electronic portfolio will be used throughout the curriculum at Shorter University to showcase learning achievements.

Students can create an unlimited number of electronic portfolios in their individual account for professional activities, employment opportunities, or admissions into graduate or professional school. The electronic portfolio can also be used to highlight community service work, personal philosophy statements, research projects and countless other personal and professional resources.

In order to grandfather each student into the program this fall, each Shorter University student will automatically be billed a one-time fee based his or her student classification:

A four year contract LAT account for freshmen is $99.00

A three year LAT contract for sophomores is $89.00

A two year LAT contract for juniors is $69.00

A one year LAT contract for senior is $42.00
