If you are more interested in applying mathematics in science and industry or in pursuing more advanced mathematics degrees, you may want to choose the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. This major consists of 39 specified hours in mathematics, eight credit hours of physics, and six additional credit hours in mathematics or related courses.
Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education
If you want to teach mathematics at the high school level, then you should choose the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education. This major consists of 36 specified credit hours in mathematics, three hours of humanities, and the professional education sequence--including student teaching--which leads to certification.
