Dr. Hall joined the Shorter University faculty in fall 2009 as Assistant Professor and Department Chair. Additionally, she serves as faculty advisor to the yearbook. Prior to coming to Shorter, Dr. Hall was an adjunct professor of communication and advertising at Reinhardt College for four years. She spent most of her career working in the advertising industry. She was a Senior Vice President and Management Representative with McCann-Erickson Worldwide, leading a variety of accounts that included L’Oreal, Lufthansa, Alka-Seltzer, Black & Decker Appliances, Vaseline Intensive Care, Haagen-Dazs, and others.

At Bernstein-Rein, a Kansas City-based independent advertising agency ranked in the top 50 in the U.S., she wrote the strategic advertising plan for Advantage Flea Control, which became the top-selling flea control brand within four months of its introduction. The advertising campaign was recognized by USA Today and was featured by ABC in a primetime special about animals in advertising. Her philosophy of teaching integrates her private sector experience with communication theory, and her areas of research interest include organizational identification and persuasion.
