Tornado Watch and Warning Information
A TORNADO WATCH MEANS: Conditions are right for a tornado or severe thunderstorms. During a tornado watch, tune in to a local radio or television station and be alert to changing conditions.
A TORNADO WARNING MEANS: That a tornado has been sighted in the area. Take cover immediately.
PLEASE be alert and ready to act in the event of a severe weather event.
- If a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued, all students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to remain indoors and away from glass doors or windows.
- If a Tornado Warning is issued, all students, faculty and staff should proceed immediately to the ground floor interior hallway and take cover.
In the event that a Warning is issued, you will be notified via the for Shorter2U Notification System which includes campus sirens. STAY IN COVER until an ALL CLEAR notification via Shorter2U and siren announcement occurs. Stay tuned for updates.
