April 9, 2012 - Shorter University last week welcomed Dr. Charles Kelley, president of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary as guest speaker during chapel services. Dr. Kelley, who specializes in teaching topics relating to evangelism and church growth, spoke to students, faculty and staff on what it means to be redeemed. Centering his sermon on Romans 8:28, Dr. Kelley expressed the joy and excitement found in this verse. “The Bible is making this amazing statement that God’s power is so great, He is able to redeem anything. Out of brokenness, He creates holiness. Jesus, through Hisdeath on the cross, is able to redeem – that’s the key to redeeming any life in any circumstance.”
