Exhibit highlights work of Shorter University student Brittany Amber Kossow
October 18, 2011 - Shorter University senior Brittany Amber Kossow will present an art exhibit, Oct.31-Nov. 4, in the university’s Arnold Art Gallery. Her exhibit, titled “The Masks of Life,” is a collection of artwork that utilizes photography to express masks.
“My most current work is based on an idea I’ve had for a long time, and it’s something I find myself living by. I like the fact that sometimes we can take a rare opportunity where anyone can be anyone or anything we want. It’s a great sense of freedom that I feel should be expressed more often,” Kossow said.
An opening reception for Kossow’s exhibit will be held on Monday, Oct. 31, from 4 until 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend, free of charge. The Arnold Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
