Shorter College’s Knight Performers’ Scholarship Competition winners announced

April 19, 2010 - Shorter College sophomore Trey Smagur and junior Bradley Harris were named winners of Shorter’s annual Knight Performers’ Scholarship Competition. The competition, named after longtime faculty members William and Mary Ann Knight, is an annual scholarship competition open to Shorter students. The competition features both a vocal performance division and a piano performance division.

Smagur, a resident of Clarksville and vocal performance major, won the competition’s vocal division. Smagur is the student of Chuck Chandler, assistant professor of voice at Shorter.  Harris, a piano performance major from Stone Mountain, won the competition’s piano division. Harris is the student of Mary Ann Knight, professor of music at Shorter.
