March 18 - Rebecca Roberts has been selected to serve as advising coordinator and assistant director in Shorter College’s Office of Student Engagement and Success.

Shorter’s Office of Student Engagement and Success assists students academically and helps them foster connections with the Shorter and Rome communities. In her new role, Roberts will coordinate and oversee the advisement of first-year students and upper classmen and will assist faculty with registration and advising procedures. “I am excited to be working at Shorter and look forward to opportunities to assist both students and faculty in my new role,” Roberts said.

Before arriving at Shorter, Roberts worked for 10 years at Berry College, most recently serving as the interim library director. Roberts received her undergraduate degree in public relations from Berry College and her master’s in library and information studies from the University of Alabama.

She and her husband, Brad, reside in Rome.
