January 9, 2009 - Recent Shorter College graduate Jill Gable has joined the financial aid staff of the college’s Professional Studies Program.

Gable, who graduated Dec. 13 with a bachelor of business administration degree, is a resident of Rome.

Having worked part-time for the financial aid office at Shorter since September 2008, Gable was hired as a full-time staff member on Jan. 5. Gable also served as a financial aid intern during the summer of 2008 and a student library assistant from 2007 until 2008.

"I am very excited to be working for Shorter College. As a student at Shorter, I saw the strong dedication and devotion that the faculty and staff exhibit for the students not only to make sure the students obtained a degree but also to provide students with the knowledge of how to use that education in future careers,” Gable said. “It gives me great pleasure to give back to those who have done so much for me and to help other students continue their education and achieve their dreams."
