In this role, she will be the primary fundraising officer for Shorter’s School of Sciences and Mathematics as well as the School of Education and Social Sciences. She will also be responsible for all student-directed fundraising programs.

Originally from Flintstone, Ga., Fitzsimmons earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication arts from Shorter College. While a student, she served as president of the Student Government Association and as editor of the college’s student newspaper.

Fitzsimmons resides in Rome.
