Shorter College Hosts Knight Scholarship Competition Finals

Shorter College School of the Arts will sponsor the seventh annual William D. and Mary Ann Knight Performers’ Scholarship Competition Finals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, in Brookes Chapel on the Shorter College campus. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $8 for students and senior adults. The competition is designed to honor the outstanding contributions of longtime music faculty members William and Mary Ann Knight. Exclusive to Shorter students, the finals will showcase eight performers – four in voice and four in piano – to compete for a $1,000 scholarship. One winner per category is selected each year.
