Shorter College Crowns Homecoming King and Queen
Justin Webb and Carmen Prather were crowned as Shorter College’s homecoming king and queen during halftime of the Hawks football game on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Webb is a senior history and political science secondary education major from Rome, Ga. He is the chaplain and sergeant-at-arms for his fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi. He is also a member of Shorter’s Baptist Collegiate Ministries and serves as an Epsilon Sigma sweetheart. He is the son of Michael and Cynthia Webb.
Prather is a senior music education and vocal performance major from Dallas, Ga. She is a member of the Shorter Chorale, St. Jude’s executive board, opera theatre and the Epsilon Sigma sorority. She also serves on Shorter’s orientation staff and works as a campus resident director. She is the daughter of Daniel and Karen Brown and Jeff and Idella Prather.
Senior class representatives for the 2007-2008 homecoming court included Laura Bowen, Carrie Fitzsimmons, Bonnie McNulty, Erin Miller, Zach Morrison, Josh Payne, Joshua Pipes, Garrett Prather, Sam Renick, Cameron Rogers, Zackry Smith and Kate Talley.

Underclassmen court participants included junior representatives Britt Hester and Kianka Dupree, sophomore representatives Jacob Edfelt and Ashley Wiseman, and freshman representatives Grant Walker and Jennifer Holcombe.
