Shorter's Danny Davis Named to Mathematics Editorial Board

Shorter College professor of mathematics Dr. Danny Davis has been invited to join the Mathematics Editorial Board of the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) as a result of his contributions as a peer reviewer in 2006.

Selection to the editorial board is based on expertise in the discipline, excellence in teaching, experience with technology and participation in professional organizations.

“The MERLOT Mathematics Editorial Board wishes to acknowledge the valuable contributions Professor Davis has made to advancing teaching and learning within the mathematics discipline,” as explained in a letter by James Rutledge, MERLOT Mathematics editor in chief.

MERLOT is supported by the National Science Foundation and 27 higher education institutions. More than 150 faculty members from these institutions have performed peer reviews of instructional technology, modeled after the peer review process for research and scholarship.
