Friends of Music Endow Scholarship at Shorter College

The Friends of Music for Shorter College have endowed a scholarship for music students at Shorter College. Lisa Smith, president of the organization, recently presented a check to Shorter College President Harold E. Newman to bring the total contributed for the fund to $25,000.

The Friends of Music Board of Directors is made up of enthusiastic and committed volunteers from the Rome area who have taken an active part in advancing and enhancing Shorter’s Edith Lester Harbin Department of Music and its work to assist Shorter’s talented students and faculty.
