The Shorter.edu Web site has received a district honor from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, the international professional organization for public relations, fund-raising, and alumni relations personnel in education.

The Web site received an Award of Excellence in the Overall Web site Design and Implementation category, competing against entries from colleges and universities in a nine-state region. Other winners in the category included Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Virginia and Virginia Tech.
