Shorter's Commitment to You

Shorter University is committed to providing quality accelerated degree programs to working adult students. The curriculum, instruction and administration of the programs are designed to interrelate theories and research with practical application. Life-long learning is emphasized and taught throughout the curricula. Three locations in metro Atlanta, in addition to Shorter's main campus in Rome, provide educational opportunities to geographically distant individuals.

Shorter University strives to provide quality higher education that enables and encourages student commitment towards active life-long learning, personal spiritual values, responsible citizenship, and community/ societal leadership within a global context. As a university institution in existence since 1873, Shorter seeks to accomplish its mission through quality undergraduate liberal arts degrees, specialized professional programs and select graduate studies.
