Over the past two years, Jane Jenson, General Manager of D & J, International, has assembled a group of talented and experienced accountant and financial analysts, engineers and scientists, and marketing and sales representatives. Even though each has individual strengths, the employees have not come together as an effective team. There is constant gossip and bickering. Animosity and hostility permeate the interaction within and between the functional groups. As a result, some key employees have left the organization, a few customers have been lost, and several individuals, including Jane, herself, have suffered serious health problems related to stress. Jane realizes she must get her employees to work together as a team, but she is not sure how to proceed.
